1997: It was the time when the hit movie "Titanic" was shown in cinemas, Tony Blair celebrated his election victory in Great Britain and the German football team Schalke 04 celebrated their UEFA Cup championship. It was also a time of change at LOWA.
Werner Riethmann and his development team were busy thinking about a new way to make hiking boots and make them lighter at the same time. The development of leisure and running shoes laid the foundation for a new way of manufacturing hiking shoes. For the first time in the company's history, LOWA produced a shoe that was directly injected and not cemented – the RENEGADE was born.
RENEGADE LL MID is a membrane-less version of the classic shoe. Two decades of design and testing work is concentrated in this footwear lined with leather inside and out. Incredible comfort, softness and durability in the same shoe.
